Are You In The Mood?

What has happened since January?

Have you gotten sidetracked????

Or maybe, you're just not in the mood anymore to make those extra calls or go attend that marketing meeting or seminar.

Power partners, business coaches and making a commitment to yourself can help you achieve your goals.  I am a huge advocate of accountability.  Find someone to meet with and make yourselves accountable to each other.  What gets measured, gets done!!

Grow from a Pro.  Find a successful, inspirational person who has demonstrated business expertise and ask that person to lunch.  I find extremely successful businessmen to be the most willing to share their stories over a salad and coffee.

Owning a business can be lonely at times.  Social networking is not only essential; it is survival to our nature.

A new season, Spring, is approaching!

Make a commitment to team up with someone and get involved in your community.

I guarantee your mood will be bright and so will your business!!!

"Be Interested, Not Interesting" seminar in Oakland California

Mike Aguilera, Communication Expert and Business Coach, presented "The Art of Networking" at Oakland's Association of Realtors office Thursday afternoon hosted by AREAEB. The session was fascinating and full of strategies we instantly could apply to our businesses.

Studies show only 7% of face to face communication is based on words spoken.  The majority of communication is generated by body motions, gestures and voice tonality. All of this is sensed at a subconscious level.  Mike says that the way you communicate to yourself affects the way you communicate to the world.  Your self-talk words and thoughts affect the way you feel, the way you communicate to others, and even your health.

According to Stanford Research Institute, 85% of our success is related to people skills (communication skills) and only 15% is related to technical skill and ability.

Mike's topics included:

•v     Proper Mindset and Attitude,  Proper Body Language

•v     Your 30 Second Commercial

•v     Working a Room, Meeting the Right People, Creating Alliances

•v     Circle of Friends-Everyone Knows 250 People

•v     Remembering Names

•v     Volunteering-becoming an Ambassador

•v     Be Different, Follow Up

•v     Dangerous Words

•v     Look for Magic

Happy Networking!!  Cathy Lee
